My holiday essentials

So Ann Summers asked me to do a post on my holiday essentials featuring a bikini from their swimwear range! The one that I picked is a beautiful shimmery fabric and is actually now in the sale - bargain.

Floral Kimono - George Asda
Sandals - ASOS

Crepe Bralets - Missguided

Sunglasses - Primark

Skirts - Topshop
Bikini - Ann Summers
Flip Flops - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark
Shine Control Paper - Superdrug
Concealer + Mascara - Rimmel London
Suncream - Superdrug
Travel Bottles - Primark
Nivea Travel Set - Superdrug
Travel Guide - Foyles
Sunglasses - Primark

Minimal packing is the best way to go, for two reasons 1)realistically how many different dresses are you really going to wear in a week? and 2) you need all the space you can save for any holiday purchases! Taking just a few tops that you can wear again to mix and match with different shorts and skirts. I opted for a couple of the ever popular bralet tops from Missguided to pair with some of the maxi skirts and shorts I already had.

Some sort of kimono or cover up is a must for me too, both for extra warmth on evenings out and for extra coverage when out in the sun for long periods of time. The one above is from George at Asda it was listed in the nightwear range but looks much to beautiful for lounging around the house!

Your clumpy sandals, like these ASOS beauties, may be pretty and easy to walk around in but after wandering around for hours your feet will kill. A light pair of flip flops are a must for your handbag and if your on the beach they save you from the boiling hot sand!

Magazines and a small book for your journeys and chilling on the beach are needed of course. When chilling on the beach or by the pool please ladies make sure you are reapplying your suncream and wearing your sunglasses! Speaking of suncream for those of you taking hand luggage only the Solait brand at Superdrug do handy 100ml tubes of suncream.

Basic make-up as your going to be applying suncream, swimming and lets face it ladies, sweating. To keep your shiny skin at away I'd take some shine free paper like this pack from Superdrug to mattify. Pair with a longlasting waterproof mascara for a fresh summer face.

With hand luggage you face the challenge of trying to take all of your cosmetics in 100ml bottles. The little bottles come in a set at Primark for £1, however the bag they came in was smaller than my allowance so I looked around for a larger one. The clear bags themselves in my opinion tend to be pretty overpriced so I was over the moon to find this Nivea set in Superdrug for £5. The bag comes with some essential cosmetics such as showercream, moisturiser and deodorant.

Do you ladies have any holiday essentials?
