This is the bargain of my entire shopping life. Seriously. At the East End Thrift Store’s £1 sale, I found this incredible pink coloured fabric – initially believing this was a pair of trousers, I pulled it out of a pile and found that it was in fact a jumpsuit. It was like fate had brought us together, or rather half an hour of digging to the bottom of a pile and the lack of competing shoppers around me. It fit me like a glove and it is one of my favourite pieces in my ever growing wardrobe. If anyone tells me they like my jumpsuit, I am eager to tell them of my thrifty shopping skills.

I love telling people where my clothes are from and the bargains that are to be had. I’m the person that is telling the coffee shop gal precise directions to a shop or speedily sending links to people online. Sharing is caring after all. Isn’t it strange that people don’t want to share their favourite shops or where they get their bargains? I remember reading people asking bloggers/youtubers online where they shop and the bloggers being really elusive about it. Like, I just shop in charity shops – but where specifically lady?! Or I go to loads of car boot sales – erm yes doll but which ones?! Or the old, a vintage shop in Shoreditch – narrow it down please.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t want everyone wearing the exact same things as me but I’m also aware that I’m not Regina George and no matter how cool I may think I look, aint nobody cutting holes in their clothes to look like me. I have some favourite vintage shops, some charity shops I frequent and I’ve started sharing some smaller businesses on my blog which will be a monthly feature.

So here are a few of my favourite places to shop.

Vintage

Beyond Retro
So in Shoreditch there is a Beyond Retro which I believe is their flagship store and they ALWAYS have a sale/clearance section. A must when visiting Bricklane!

East End Thrift Store
Now on ASOS market place for online shopping. But if you follow their Facebook page then you will be able to keep an eye out on their events, there have been many £1 sales and even a 50p sale. There are bargains to be had.

Charity Shops

There are some great charity shops in London and as I used to live in Dalston I used to visit Oxfam and St Vincent. Where ever you are a Sue Ryder is the place to shop – the one in York was a favourite of mine for sure.

However my favourite place to shop charity shops, EVER is in Nottingham (my hometown). So first of all if you are in Nottingham then Beeston is a must for charity shops, I have had so many amazing bits from those places!

Another area is the charity shops on Mansfield Road (Near Sherwood shops) and not too far from there is a bunch of other charity shops on Plains Road in Mapperly. These ones are conveniently located near a lovely pub called Bread & Bitter, they do delicious veggie food there.

These are just a few of my favourite places. Would you be interested in me doing a few little guides on my Youtube showing you around places I like in East London and Nottingham? I lived in London for 4 years and came across some gems in my time there.
