Jacket + Trousers - H&M

So I have been after a pair of tartan trousers for a little while now. I used to have a high waisted pair about 5 years ago and ruined them by cutting them into a pair of shorts. Such a waste. So I've tried on lots of pairs since then and none have been quite as pretty. With the cropped, wide leg trend at the minute it makes finding a skinny pair quite difficult. The other week I popped into a H&M and saw a lady holding up a pair of check trousers, admiring them. Luckily she put them back and I was quick to swipe up the last pair from the sale section. These babies are just £12 in the sale right now.
Some of the other pieces are a little older, I like to wear older pieces because that's way more realistic of what I wear day to day. We aren't all rich and living in clothes from Topshop and ASOS' new in sections week to week really are we. I'm wearing a trusty faux leather jacket and a really old pair of shoes from ASOS. I mean how many pairs of shoes can I actually wear in a week. So as much as I love new pieces, particularly these trousers right now, it is important to keep using and rotating the older pieces in a wardrobe.
