Platform Croc Boots
I went into London with my boyfriend on Sunday to meet some friends for some food, I had a delicious vegan pizza from Yard Sale in Walthamstow. It had potatoes on and spicy vegan may, it was pretty divine and I took left overs in for work on Monday - really something you should try on a Monday lunch rather than saving it for dinner the next day. It really perked up my Monday.
Back to the London trip, we had a wander around and Zhi brought his camera with him - it's quite a new one so he's more willing to take photos as he has a new gadget. We stopped by this street where I've take a few photos before, it was mainly to get photos of my amazing new boots! But then when coming to pick the photos and edit the ones I wanted to use I noticed the look sort of matched a summer outfit I posted on the same street:
Sometimes I think that the older blog posts I've written can get lost within a sea of new posts and that just within my own blog, never mind the even bigger sea of Instagram posts and tweets. So I like to go back to some of my older blog posts and share them again for a little more love. I also like it because my older outfits can a) re-inspire me b) give me an idea of what to wear on a "I have nothing to wear today!" day.
Anyway back to the main reason I wanted to snap a few photos of this look, the platform boots. If you've followed me for a while, you'll know that I love a platform shoe. I really wanted this pair of boots then I saw them because it's a combination of the platform I love but my other true shoe love - moc croc, as I spoke about in this post. Now I have always liked the look of the Dr Marten Jadon boots but unfortunately, the black ones don't come in the vegan range. So when I spotted these I knew it was a pretty good alternative. I was initially a little worried that they might look a little tacky when they arrived as non leather shoes can do sometimes but I was very very pleased with theses. A few friends have said that they look almost the quality of a leather shoe. They have been worn a few times now and they are really comfy.
