My Trip To China 2019

Monkey MountainGongyi, Zhengzhou, China

Hi all,

So my little hiatus from this blog has been because I went to China for two weeks and then came back to a busy week at work. But I wanted to share some of the images from my trip and a little about what I got up to. So I'll start with what I got up to and where I went.

So first I went to Zhengzhou in Henan, as you may already know my boyfriend is Chinese and this is where he is from. We went the first week with his family, I stayed with Zhi, his mum and dad while in Zhengzhou. Part of the family visit was to Hebi also in the Henan province. Henan is where you will find the Shaolin Temple, Yuntaishan Geopark, Monkey Mountain and The Yellow River. Also the food is amazing, particularly the breakfast and more specifically, the pancakes! I have seen these cooked a million times and this recipe is pretty close to how Zhi's family make them if you are interested in trying them out.

After that Zhi and I went to Shanghai to pick up a friend from Shanghai airport, we spent the next week in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Zhijiajiao. I totally fell in love with Shanghai this time, my first trip was 7 years ago and I think the culture shock and the "I can't believe I'm here" of it all meant I didn't really appreciate it as much as I did this time round. I also totally loved Hangzhou!

There are so many amazing things to do in and around Shanghai, I'm not sure it can all go into one blog post. So instead I am going to share photos of my trip and I'll consider writing  a more detailed and planned out post about specific things I got up to if you'd be interested.
