Ways to Wear: Swimsuits as Day Wear

Being on the Buying and Merch team at Figleaves means that I get so see the styles being designed and see samples which is amazing but it also means I know what's coming and have to wait for it to come into stock! I had been eagerly anticipating some beautiful swim and beachwear coming in for this summer. A lovely member of my team that nominated me to our PR department to be part of #FriendsofFigleaves so I got this swimsuit gifted to me this week. I love it so much, I remember seeing it last year when designs were being chosen and I hoped I'd be able to get my hands on one!

I thought I'd use the swimsuit for a Ways to Wear post because I feel like swimsuits are used on holiday and for the pool but have so much potential for your day to day wardrobe. It is essentially a body after all. The only downside is having to strip off to get to the loo but that's a problem with playsuits too - just got to be prepared.

This first look is something I might wear to meet friends for a few drinks (cannot wait until I can see a friend in real life!). Layering the tee underneath gives me a little more coverage up top and if we were heading to a club (lol I'm 28 and don't really do that any more but imagine) I could whip off the tee in the loos, pop it in my bag and have a full on dressy look for some boogying. The shoes and accessories help to give it a more dressed up or casual feel so have a play around with different pieces!

The next look is a simple look with the swimsuit paired with some high waist jeans. A pair of flats and a jacket thrown on makes it the ultimate casual outfit. My swimsuit is this amazing bright animal print which I adore but if you aren't as big on prints you can play around with different colours and styles of swimsuits.

I have two more look with this lovely Figleaves Swimsuit which you can find in the video below. Let me know which is your fave!
