Flower Print Addison Jeans - Lucy & Yak
Happy Monday all!
I hope you have been able to enjoy some of the sunshine during this heatwave we're having here in the UK. Remember to look after that skin while you are out and about.
During lock down I've avoided spending too much time browsing the shops online, I know if I get bored I'd end up browsing and probable buying sale stuff for no reason really. However I have gone up a dress size over the last 6 months or so and literally none of my bottoms fit me. The dress size part really doesn't matter to me but what I've been a little disappointed by is the carefully curated collection of vintage jeans and trousers that I have grown over the years no longer fit me. Like at all. Which means I did have to do a little shopping for bottoms that would fit. I did one small ASOS order and nabbed a couple of basics on eBay.
I then shopped Lucy & Yak, I'd been following them on Instagram for a while and read their story on the website. So I knew I agreed with the ethics but I wasn't sure if I was ready for a new shape of jeans. So my first purchase was a set of dungarees and then these amazing Addison jeans! I literally adore this pattern. They slot perfectly into my wardrobe as a versatile bottom.
They are much looser in fit than jeans I'm used to. Most of my high waist jeans were fairly fitted around my legs and these aren't really. The first time I wore them it took me a while to get used to the silhouette but they are so incredibly comfy! I opted for the 30" waist as I'm an awkward in between at 29" at the moment, I read that the waistband doesn't really have any give so the 30" was perfect as you don't want the waist to be cutting into you when you sit down. When they first arrived and I tried them on I literally sent my mum a load of photos including me sat down, pure excitement.
(Also living in these platform Converse! *Aff link*)
I've actually gone a little wild with the money I've ended up saving while working from home and purchased a 3rd item from Lucy & Yak, the Kia trousers. I love that I can get ethical clothing in amazing prints like these. I'm sure you'll be seeing the beautiful Kia trousers very soon.
Do you guys shop at Lucy & Yak?
