Like many, I’ve recently watched Emily In Paris. I’ve seen a
fair few mixed reviews of the show, I think that it’s a bit of a predictable,
cheesy show which is easy to binge and you reach the end wondering if you truly
enjoyed it. If you have not seen it, it’s one to put on in the background while
you’re doing something or if you’ve had a tough day at work, it’s something you
can totally switch off to.
What Emily in Paris has brought to us is a wide variety of
outfits, people have been talking about them. Some are super tacky, some are clashing
nightmares and then there are some totally chic looks. Websites like Buzzfeed
have an article on the looks they rated and didn’t. I thought I would have a
bit of fun and use pieces from my wardrobe to recreate some of the key looks
from the show.
This look is my version of Emily's outfit from her first visit to the office, it is probably one of the most garish outfits as there was a just a little too much going on. I've stuck with the clashing prints but I've used a shirt that I love and would happily clash with the snake print skirt.
I had fun with this one, while I don't have a check two piece I do have quite a few check and houndstooth individual ones. I tried on a few combos and this one was my favourite.
These two looks were really easy for me to create using what I had in my wardrobe because these are my two favourite colours. Also my favourite colours to clash together so I have a fair few pink and green goodies to choose from in my wardrobe.
This last look was not planned into this post but rather something I thought of last minute to add. It turns out to be one of my favourite more casual looks that I would totally rock outside of the house. The all pink and all green looks, whilst fabulous in photos, are not something I think I'd comfortably wear out and about.
Which look is your favourite? Also if you've watched the show, what did you think of it?
I've read online that loads of the designer pieces that Emily wore in the show have been selling out! I've chosen some of my favourite Emily inspired pieces from ASOS (affiliate links):

Ps) I did put this together for an Instagram reels post so if you like what I've put together it would be lovely if you gave it a wee like!
