AW22 Trend Predictions
The fall collections for 2022 have hit the runway and there have been some incredible looks! I've been browsing the catwalk shows over the last month to see what is trending and for some outfit inspiration. There are lots of trends to choose from but I've picked out some of the things I spotted that caught my eye and that I'm interested in exploring with my own style in mind.
Altuzara // Sara Battaglia // Frederick Anderson // Huishan Zhang // Carolina Herrera // Baum und Pferdgarten
Stine Goya // Eudon Choi // Edward Crutchley // Soulland // Sergio Hudson // Christian Siriano // Callas Milano
Lafayette 148 // Private Policy // Mark Fast // Christian Cowan // Collina Strada // Christian Cowan // Bora Aksu
Fendi // Richard Quinn // Kim Shiu // Fashion East // Halpern // Christian Siriano // Conner Ives
MM6 Maison Margiela // Elena Velez // Richard Malone // Halpern // Bibhu Mohapatra // Bibhu Mohapatra // Collina Strada
Versace // Stine Goya // Stine Goya // Blumarine // Jil Sander // Mara Hoffman // Sergio Hudson
Pink and Red Colour Combo
Fuchsia is here and I'm loving it! But what I wanted to pick out was the colour combination on red and pink, while not revolutionary and pretty common practice for those of us that love to wear pink it was interesting to see the variety on the runway.
Altuzara // Sara Battaglia // Frederick Anderson // Huishan Zhang // Carolina Herrera // Baum und Pferdgarten
The Colourful Suit
The suit is sticking around and it is here in full colour! I've been searching Vinted for the perfect colourful suit - I'm tempted to buy beige and dye my desired colour.
Stine Goya // Eudon Choi // Edward Crutchley // Soulland // Sergio Hudson // Christian Siriano // Callas Milano
Lilac is the new Green
Statement green pieces were still fairly prominent on the runway for AW22 but the main colour that stood out to me and that I think will be replacing the green trend. Head to toe lilac and statement lilac pieces like a coat or a dress was one way that I saw this on the catwalk. I did also see lilac used to compliment another colour like red or pink. With it being autumnal outfits I also found that it wasn't just lilac but purple as a whole that seemed to be popular among designers.

The Long Gloves
While this is something we've been seeing over the last year or so on Pinterest, Tiktok etc I feel these have the potential to become more mainstream. They were featured on so many catwalk shows! I really lover how they look and that they can be rocked by so many people as the style varies so much. My main issue is that the practicality of them from day to day would be questionable, visits to the bathroom, trying to use your phone etc. There were so many I had to share more than one montage with you!
Fendi // Richard Quinn // Kim Shiu // Fashion East // Halpern // Christian Siriano // Conner Ives
MM6 Maison Margiela // Elena Velez // Richard Malone // Halpern // Bibhu Mohapatra // Bibhu Mohapatra // Collina Strada
Double Denim
Double denim drops in and out of fashion, the Britney and Justin look will forever be iconic but the styling of a full denim look has come along way. I'm loving the variety from printed denim suits, flared jeans to frayed edges, there really is something for everyone to dabble in this trend.
Kenzo // Derek Lam 10 Crosby // No Sesso // Blumarine // Ahluwalia // Diesel // Christian Siriano
A few other bits I enjoyed
So last but not least is a little shout out to a few of my favourite looks to hit the runway, mainly in relation to my own style. I would totally love to wear some of these pieces!
What do you think to the bits that stood out to me from this years AW collections? Will you be looking to recreate any of these looks?
