A return to a slower form of content
I've not posted on here for a couple of years now! I'm keen to get back to writing and sharing my styling and personal styling ideas, trend predictions and second hand shopping finds. I never stopped sharing my outfits and my charity shop goodies - you can see this mainly on my Tiktok. I think I'm preferring the old school blogging, maybe a lot of that was the community feel of it back in the day but it's also the longer form content. I do enjoy editing videos and sharing those shorter bits online however I am missing the written posts of longer videos, not just as a creator but as a consumer - I'm maybe just getting old (at the age of 33 haha) but everything online just feels so short and fast jumping onto the next video. This is even impacting and applying to the trend cycle! So I'm coming back here to slow things down just a little.
Coat - New Look (old) // Dress - Vintage // Bag - Traid Charity Shop // Chelsea Boots - Dr Martens
It's been 2 years but I think my style is pretty similar, I still love colourful clothing and clashing prints. I still enjoy adding some small aspects of a slightly alternative wardrobe if that's the right word, with my chokers, ugly chunky black shoes etc.
I've always shared charity shop finds as this has made up a large portion of my wardrobe for many years now - you can see me sharing some finds on YouTube 11 years ago! Though when I was younger I did also have quite a chunk of new items from the highstreet, I rarely shop brand new now but I'm not super strict about it. If I see something new that I think will get a good rotation in my wardrobe then I may purchase, I think one of my last ones was a midi dress from Uniqlo which I've worn in the summer and layered up in the winter. So I will continue sharing my second hand wardrobe but there may be the occasional new item!
